2019 PA STATE S3DA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Qualifying round is a 20-target course set at known distances. Championship round will be a 4 target shoot off following the qualifying round. Top shooters in each class will qualify for the Championship round. Archers making the Championship round will complete for top awards. (SEE DETAILS ON BACK) S3DA rules apply to all competitors, including membership. Entry fee is $26.00 and all shooters are required to be registered through a qualified club.
ASA SCORING WILL APPLY TO THIS SHOOT Registration is from 7:00 am until 8:30 am – Shotgun start at 9:00 am Food and Drinks will be available all day Sign-ups will be held in the pavilion This is a rain or shine event!
Instructions and rules for the State shoot
1. Registration is from 7:00 am until 8:30 am at the pavilion. 2. A safety meeting will be held around 8:50 am and archers will be put into their shooting groups. Score cards and starting targets will be handed out at that time. QUALIFYING ROUND (20 targets with upper & lower 12 rings) 1. All archers will walk to their designated starting target on the qualifing course with their peir group after the safety meeting. 2. Once all archers are at their targets, they will need to choose who will be recording the scores and who will be calling the scores. Shooting rotation is also choosen at that time. 3. ASA scoring will be used during this shoot. (Upper and Lower 12’s, 10’s, 8’s, 5’s & 0) (Upper 12’s must be called prior to shooting. If the upper 12 ring is called, the lower 12 ring will then be scored as 10 points. 14 rings are not in play during the qualifying round) 4. After all 20 targets are shot, shooters will then add up their scores, sign off their score cards and turn them in to the registration table.
WHILE SCORES ARE BEING CHECKED LUNCH WILL BE SERVED AT THE PAVILION
Up to 4 archers per class will make the Championship round depending on the top scores and the number of shooters in each class.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND (4 targets with upper/lower 12’s and 14 rings) 1. All qualifying scores will follow the archers into the championship round. 2. Archers from the same class will be given a target to start on and will rotate as they shoot. (ALL UPPER 12 AND 14 RINGS MUST BE CALLED PRIOR TO SHOOTING OR THE LOWER SCORE IS RECORDED) 3. Shooters will rotate thru all 4 targets, taking 1 shot per target with scoring between shots. 4. After all 4 targets are shot and scored, the final places will be determined. 5. In the event of a tie, the archers that have tie scores will take 1 shot at a 5th target. The archer shooting the highest score ring will win. If the archers are still tied, then whoever’s arrow is closest to middle of the bonus ring called wins.
ONCE ALL SCORES ARE FINALIZED WE WILL HAVE THE MEDAL CEREMONY!
